BASK is a love letter to the basket bag.
While we believe all baskets are beautiful, not all are as durable, practical, or refined as we wanted in an everyday carryall. With BASK, we set out to create a modern interpretation of a timeless accessory—crafted from the most premium materials and finished with thoughtful, functional details throughout.
Our handbags are born from an obsession with the perfect weave, the ideal leather, and a design that serves you, not the other way around. The result is a basket bag that is undeniably luxurious yet effortlessly wearable, not just for special occasions, but for everyday life.
After an extensive search, we partnered with a family-owned atelier in Morocco whose craftswomen weave for the world’s leading luxury houses. Together, we bring forward exceptional quality and lasting value in classic, sculptural styles. Learn more about our process here.
Basket weaving is an ancient global art that has evolved over twelve thousand years, producing a rich tapestry of styles, shapes, and uses. Wear In, Not Out
Our bags are designed to stand up to daily life.
BASK was actually born the moment when another expensive and beautiful, yet delicate, basket tote of ours began to break after only a few months’ use.
While many baskets feature a less-than-durable material or weaving pattern, we’ve tested carrying all manner of heavy objects on a daily basis, and have found that our unique double-woven raffia basket base stands the test of time.
Some baskets choose either woven handles or faux leather straps, both of which easily show wear, fraying or cracking over time. Instead, we’ve selected pebbled full grain leather, renowned for its durability and natural patina with use. Baskets exist to be used - your BASK is designed stay beautiful throughout.

Modern, Timeless
The ‘20 year rule’ in fashion is the idea that trends reemerge about every two decades – true of everything from big pants to tiny sunglasses. However, the basket bag seems to be on its own (slightly more pagan) calendar:
Year after year in springtime, searches related to ‘raffia purse’, ‘woven tote’, and ‘basket bag’ spike back up in preparation for the summer season. And if you’re in the tropics, your basket may very well be a year-round staple. Baskets follow the sun, not the fashion calendar.
With bags as long-lasting as ours, we needed to deliver style that could sustain year after year. Rather than heavy branding and excessive details, we’ve called upon the classic elements of style — shape, texture & color — to make each bag timeless.

Luxurious, Never Precious
Our baskets are handwoven in the same workshop that creates pieces for some of the world’s most renowned handbag brands, so luxury is naturally part of the design.
But we didn’t stop there—we’ve carefully considered every detail to make sure they’re as practical as they are beautiful. The over-the-shoulder straps let you move freely, while the closed weave ensures you leave the sand behind at the beach. Each bag is structured with a flat bottom, so it stands upright when you set it down.
